Damaged pavement and footpath

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8915041.

The kerbside and footpath have been damaged by HGVs parking illegally on the side of the A66. This is making the footpath inaccessible.

In addition the rubbish on the A66 westbound from Scotch Corner is now becoming overwhelming and a disgrace. It needs clearing up.

    The location identified by the information you’ve provided in your report, we believe is within the Sedbury layby.

    We can advise we attended site earlier this week, we walked both sides of the pavement in the layby and could not identify any damage that would stop the footpath being accessed. If the damage is in a different location, please let us know and we can revisit.
