Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. Our contractors and drainage team investigated and made the area safe on Friday.

We’ve also removed a lighting column affected, refixed a pedestrian guardrail and we’re backfilling the area with granular material as an interim solution.

Although we’ve been unable to find an obvious underlying cause for the sinkhole, we’ll be monitoring the area for a while before we fully reinstate the verge and lighting column to make sure there is no further movement.

    Kind regards National Highways
