Silt build up in lane 3 drainage channels

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 05:59, Thursday 12 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8898928.

In both North and South bound directions (J6-J7 worst areas) the silted drainage channels to the third lane of both carriageways are in places channeling water run off into lane 3 causing excessive spray, and aquaplaning when experiencing heavy rain fall. This causes reduced visibility, momentary loss of control, and sudden braking. in some instances saplings have seeded in these silt mounds.
