Uneven surface for quite a distance. This is on the A1(M) Southbound after Walshford and just before the River Nidd although there is also a small section just beyond the river.

The road surface is very uneven. the top layer of tarmac has gone in several areas

  • This is getting worse everyday and is now very dangerous with cars serving to avoid the extremely long pothole that ha developed - there are now multiple sections with potholes.

  • I put the original post on. I should have mentioned that this problem is only in the third lane -Southbound carriageway. This needs resurfacing without delay.

  • Passed through this area today and there’s like a 3/4 meter section where the top layer of surface has disappeared cars swerving to avoid

  • Still here today, 10 days later from last update. Top layer of tarmac completely deteriorated into a rut for approx 50m in Lane 3
