On going pothole problem

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 16:12, Friday 6 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8855451.

Potholes on the Stoke Lane Bridge over the M32 have reopened after only a few weeks of being repaired!!!! This is a continuing problem that the council seem unable to resolve. These potholes have been repaired approx, 15 times in only 4 months. There is clearly a problem with the drainage flowing under the tarmac across the bridge as it appears to disintegrate the tarmac from under the surface ever time we have a period of heavy rain!!!!!

I have previously been advised that an engineer would look at the bridge but no action seems to be taken and more money is wasted re visiting the site to re fill the holes!!!!

Updates

  • The repair has failed again as the middle section is now a pothole again and needs a specialist repair
