Road Breaking up - Dangerous

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category by David Carrington at 13:25, Friday 6 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8853532.

Please ware that the M56 J7 heading towards Manchester is becoming quite hazardous. From just before the exit slip road to just after the entry slip road, the road surface is breaking up and potholes are appearing. This has been ongoing since the last major junction works a few years ago and re-appears every winter. The latest problems have been evident since October and is getting worse despite several reports being placed. Lane 2 is especially bad and dangerous.
