Hedge growth and land slippage on highway

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 15:36, Thursday 5 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8846878.

The stretch of the A36 from approximately St George's Hill to Trossachs Drive, heading into Bath, has a very steep bank with hedge/trees growing in it. The bank has gradually slipped into the road by about 2 feet to the extent that it is completely covering the double yellow lines. The old fencing that originally marked the edge of the road is barely visible about a metre or so inside the undergrowth. This makes the road narrow at a particularly dangerous spot.
