Road markings required

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 15:47, Wednesday 4 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8838685.

There are no road markings at the roundabout to go South/North on the A1 or towards Mitford. For years, people are using the left lane to go straight over (South) or right (Mitford/North). There have been at least 30+ times over the years where I have been in the right hand lane, indicating and someone has been to the left of me and continued to turn right with no indication. This needs to be address as myself and several other people have had close calls with other cars. Adding road marking will make it clearer to "idiot" drivers which lane they need.
