Large section of the road missing

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8818343.

Road surface has been damaged causing large pot hole. Signage has been placed before it to warn drivers but cannot be avoided to drive through when cars are travelling in outside lane.

    We're aware of the road surface deterioration along this stretch of the A27 and are currently finalising a 'patching' resurfacing scheme to address.

    In the meantime we continue to monitor during our weekly safety inspections carried out by experienced inspectors and arrange any make safe interventions should further deterioration be considered a safety issue.
