Growth blocking visibility

Following previous requests to improve the barriers/visibility for pedestrians and cyclists using the pathway coming off the A31 Verwood junction (just over the bridge), there seem to be plans in place to cut back the trees/hedging round this corner, as the area of work has been marked out with white arrows on the pavement and associated vegetation. However these markings have been in place for some months now with no sign of any work being undertaken, and it would be greatly appreciated if this work could be completed. This is a very dangerous corner as cyclists and pedestrians cannot clearly see each other until it is too late, and as there are no safety barriers to prevent individuals slipping/falling into the road, cutting back this area of overgrown hedging would greatly improve visibility for all concerned. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
