Bridge Wobbling

A customer has reported that the bridge from Cowgate, Welton over the A63 feels wobbly, especially in the middle.

Customer concerned as the bridge is used by a lot of school children.

    We can advise we have attended the bridge and carried out some initial safety checks, and no serious issues have been noted. Structures like this (slender steelwork footbridges) can be lively / bouncy when people walk across it.

    We will be re-attending site, to do some more intrusive testing and should any works be required we will organise for these to take place.
