Accident risk

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 21:09, Wednesday 28 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8785755.

There is a major issue where vehicles are parking on the west, north bound lane of the bridge resulting in north bound vehicles driving down the middle towards the left hand bend of the sliproad. Vehicles coming up that sliproad are met with a vehicle blocking the way and swerve onto the pavement on the east side. Now that the housing has been completed on Bury Farm, quite often pushchairs with young children are being pushed on that pavement. It is only a matter of time before people are killed and a vehicle plunges through the bridge railings onto the A12 beneath.
