Impossible alternative route

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 13:06, Monday 26 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8770256.

Today I tried the alternative routes to walk to Wyndham Park school should the footbridge over the A36 dual carriageway at Wyndham Road. I walked along St Marks Road. This was extremely difficult with very narrow pavements, vehicle parking on the pavement at multiple points and trees also making passing with a wheelchair or double buggy impossible. At two points I had to step into the road to pass obstacles. This is not a safe nor viable route.
