Drove over these potholes / road deterioration on Tues 24th Feb 2026. Lane 3/4 after J29 entry southbound.

Long shot but me and my partner were travelling down the M1 southbound on 9th Dec 2025 between J29-J28 in the outside lane and we hit a pothole which burst our front tyre and severely damaged the rear tyre, costing us a lovely £400. I submitted a claim with national highways, even had an incident number off the traffic officers who tended to us in the SOS lay-by but they have rejected our claim. I just wanted to see if anyone else fell victim to this dreaded pothole? As I am trying to push back on this. I fail to see how they fulfilled their obligations when it cost me 2 new tyres and put me and my partner at risk, having to change several lanes with only 3ish working tyres to get to the SOS bay 🫣
