Surface water after rain fall

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 21:22, Saturday 24 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8760322.

I’ve reported this at beginning of 2025 and December 2025 and the only thing you’ve done is put sandbags there but the water is still running over the road after rain fall. Very similar to what happened at Grantham a year ago where a mother and child died after it froze over the carriageway one night. The corner partly held highways England responsible so I think you should really look into this before another accident happens if we have a severe frost through winter.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
