Numerous potholes, lane 1 southbound between jct 51 & jct 50

Numerous potholes in lane 1 southbound, the full length between jct 51 and jct 50. I would estimate at least 10 to 15 seperate locations between the junctions In some areas there are 3 or 4 holes across the width of the lane. Holes vary in size and depth and evasive action is required by drivers to avoid damage to their vehicles, or complete avoidance of lane 1. Some holes have appeared on the edge of recently repaired areas. Some have been there for a number of weeks but more have appeared over the last week

Thank you for making your report. We are aware of surface defects in this area and are looking to address them. There are planned works to rectify these permanently starting in March 2026.
In the meantime any critical defects will be picked up by our inspectors and will be filled with temporary material until the permanent repair.
There are currently under even road boards to mitigate and highlight the risk.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

There are still numerous issues with pot holes in Lane 1 both Southbound and Northbound between Jct 51 & 50. Some potholes are more serious than others, they could cause damage to vehicles and potentially cause serious accidents. Some of the potholes have appeared in some of the patching work already completed. I travel this journey every day Monday to Friday. This needs looking into immediately.
