Dangerous and Noisy Manhole Cover

A manhole cover on Eastbound carriageway opposite the entrance to 92A Grantham Road (A52), has worked loose and is both potentially dangerous and very noisy. I previously reported it on 9/01/26, It was only repaired on Tuesday 14 January 2026! I live approximately 100 metres from the issue and can hear the noise every time a vehicle goes over it. I cannot believe that a permanent solution can’t be found to this issue, it must costing a fortune in repairs/maintenance and the A52 certainly isn’t the busiest road in the country.

  • This has caved in now. It’s going to go. All the hgv Lorrys going over this man hole cover. It needs fixing asap.
