A43 Southbound view of traffic lights is poor
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 16:39, Wednesday 21 January 2026
Sent to National Highways 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8737300.
A43 Southbound, dual carriageway after Baynards Green. The new traffic lights on approach to the roundabout are difficult to see as they are poorly-located. - They are not mounted very high up - The left set of lights are positioned out of view, and are too far to the left to see on approach down the straight - The left set of lights are then obscured by roundabout signage on final approach - This then means that if the right lights have a van or truck in the outside lane blocking the view, you can't see either set of lights! Higher positioning of these traffic lights would be more appropriate in this location. (or repositioning the left set or re-locating the signs that hide them). Better vision would help driver's anticipate and save a few rear-end collisions at this point.
