Two large potholes

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 20:35, Tuesday 20 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8731380.

Two large potholes have formed on the right-hand side of lane 2 on the westbound carriageway of the M56 between the Junction 7 exit and the flyover. Large, flat areas of the road base layer are exposed due to complete removal of the road surface. These potholes have been present for several months but have grown substantially over the past two weeks.

Updates

  • These pot holes continue to get larger and larger as more and more vehicles drive over them. Vehicles are swerving out the way of them causing potentially more accidents, especially when driving 60mph+. These need fixing asap
