Slip Road Traffic Lights

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8717543.

Filter traffic lights on to the southbound carriageway are still not working, causing increased congestion. I can see this has been reported in september, when will they be looked at?

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the ramp metering traffic lights at Junction 7 of the A1 (M). Our technical team have attended this location and continue to investigate this issue. Unfortunately due to the age of this system we are currently unable to find the necessary electronic components to resolve this issue.

    Be assured we will endeavour to continue to find a solution to this issue as soon as possible.

    Although we do always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
