Lights changing red when no pedestrians there

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 17:50, Thursday 15 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8696331.

Once the traffic light at the pedestrian crossing goes green, the red light on the control box immediately goes red again as if a pedestrian has pushed the button. This makes the lights turn red again straight away causing massive congestion. This has been broken all this week. This is a regular occurrence at the same crossing and needs a permanent fix
