Potholes on A11 exit

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 19:27, Tuesday 13 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8682661.

Multiple serious potholes on M11/A11 southbound exit roundabout connecting to B184 are serious getting worse, causing cars to take odd paths around this roundabout. South Cambs council insists this roundabout not their responsibility. They have resurfaced up to the roundabout. Please can this be assessed and fixed urgently?

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

Unfortunately the roundabouts on the A1301 (Mill Lane) and the B184 are owned and maintained by the local authority. National Highways own and maintain the Strategic Road Network including slip roads on the A11 / M11 but our responsibility ceases at the give-way lines at the end of these slip roads.

The local authority are therefore responsible for maintenance issues of this nature on this road.

Please contact them to resolve this issue. Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at:

    www.gov.uk/find-local-council

    Kind regards, National Highways

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
