Sign missing

Reported via desktop in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 18:26, Tuesday 13 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8682320.

On the A1 going north, where the new 50mph section ends at the M25, there is - as far as I can see - no visible National Speed Limit sign that signifies the end of the 50mph section. Going south I believe that there is a 50mph sign as you enter that section of road just south of the M25.

Updates

  • Still no change, it is even more dangerouse now as vehicles nolonger follow the update speed limit changes from the previous speed cammera to this junction. The issue is on the A1m not the M25. The north bound carrageway doesnt show a change in the speed limit despite the speed limit changing. This is unlike the southbound carrage way where the speed limit change is shown from 70mph to 50mph

  • Believe this is because the speed limit change is indicated at the start of the A1(M) motorway by the motorway sign (blue background, white logo of a road bridge) where motorway rules apply, so a round sign or national speed limit sign is not necessary.

    State changed to: Fixed
