Updates

  • Thank you for submitting this report regarding a speed limit reduction.

On the A27 in this area a temporary speed limit has been installed until repairs to a damaged parapet can be completed. The reduction in speed is to avoid any further accidents involving the public or any more damage to the parapet.

We’re looking to complete a permanent repair at the earliest opportunity but unfortunately at present we don’t yet have a date for this. Whilst we understand the frustration and impact poor driver behaviour can have on other road users, we don’t have any enforcement powers to stop drivers that you mention ignoring the temporary speed limits in place. Any enforcement to tackle driver behaviour is conducted by the local police and you can report this calling 101.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Kind regards National Highways
