Large number of lights never on between junction 8 and 9

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the streetlights.

    We’ve turned off the lights at this location because there are significant electrical and/or structural problems.

    Whilst the lights are switched off, we’ll monitor the location and evaluate the need for lighting in line with our policy. If evaluations show there is no safety reason to replace/repair the lighting, then lighting in these areas will be removed. If this the case continued safety monitoring is undertaken.
