Phasing duration of lights

Signal phasing of traffic approaching from Easton Lane to A34/M3 Junc 9 roundabout are set at 7 seconds allowing on 3 or 4 vehicles to be released. During busy periods this is causing build ups further down Easton Lane and around the Tesco roundabout with potential to delay emergency vehicles responding to incidents.

Since returning to work on Winnall Industrial Estate after Christmas break the traffic lights at top end of Easton Lane onto A34/M3 J9 is only allowing up to 4 cars out at a time, just under 7 seconds. At rush hour times ie. 4pm onwards, this is causing long queues down to bottom of hill into town and totally blocking the roundabout by Tesco & shell garage.

Phasing of traffic lights on Easton lane entering Winnall roundabout m3 junction 9 is only allowing three vehicles at a time, if there is a lorry/bus then only one vehicle. The traffic is grid locking the Tesco roundabout, the length of Easton Road is jammed and the traffic exiting Moorside Road from the Winnall Trading Estate cannot exit and is causing mass tailbacks.
