Fallen fence along motorway edge allowing public access

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 08:42, Wednesday 7 January 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8638735.

Hi, a large section of fence has fallen down along the side of the M20 in the Sellindge area. It appears that the public on foot would be able to walk up the bank and walk onto the motorway area, potentially making it unsafe. This section of fence also acts as a sound barrier to the local residence on Grove Park, Sellindge. The fallen down section can be viewed from both the M20 and also the public bridal Way on the opposite side.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report and concerns.

    Kind regards
