Dear West Northamptonshire Council Highways Team,

I am writing to request confirmation of the operational status of the traffic signals at Riverside Roundabout, Northampton (near Riverside Retail Park / A45) on 28 December 2025.

Please could you confirm:

1. Whether the traffic lights at this junction were operating normally on that date. 2. Whether any faults, outages, power losses, or planned maintenance were recorded affecting the signals on that date. 3. Whether any signal controller logs or event records indicate lamp faults, switch-offs, or other interruptions during the period in question.

If possible, please also confirm the time range covered by any available records.

This information is required for evidential/reference purposes.

If this request needs to be handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please treat it accordingly and advise me if any clarification is required.

  • This is still a major issue how many times does this need reporting before it is fixed properly, huge tail backs up the A43 because the light timings are out of sinc
