Badly blocked drainage culvert

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 09:32, Fri 12 December 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8537468.

Very badly blocked drainage culvert alongside A421. This culvert is totally full of silt and growing vegetation. Every time there’s any amount of rainfall when the pump station that’s further upstream towards the Elstow Interchange is in use it overflows from the culvert and badly floods my land. It’s causing significant flooding to an access track and fishery. This flooding of dirty and likely polluted water is risking causing a significant risk of a total fish kill at my fishery and continually damaging my access track. At some point this will likely lead to flooding onto the main A421 duel carriageway itself causing danger to any traffic along that road. This stretch of culvert and the resulting flooding was reported over a year ago and no action has been taken.
