Potholes.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8525914.

Looks to have been originally reported back in october and were being fixed next month. Next month has came and gone. Today, in heavy rain these potholes (many of them in lane 2 north bound) could cause serious damage to vehicles or indeed loss of control for car or even worse, motorcycle users. This NEEDS to be URGENTLY dealt with. We have dash-cam footage if needed.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We are aware of these defects. The road was closed last night (14 December 2025) to carry out temporary repairs between J58 and J59, and we have scheduled additional temporary repairs later this week.

    Permanent repairs are already planned and are expected to take place in early February 2026, following delays caused by planning issues.

    In the meantime, any safety-critical defects identified will be addressed within 24 hours.
