Something sharp on the road edge

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 14:03, Tue 9 December 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8523589.

I pulled over slightly on the A303 eastbound near Stonehenge to let police cars pass and appear to have hit a sharp object or surface on the verge area or road side. It caused an immediate tyre puncture and I had to pull over to change to spare tyre. The road surface itself looks fine, no pothole that I saw, but there may be something or surface sharp at the edge of the carriageway that could pose a risk to other drivers. Please could this be checked and cleared if needed.
