Large pothole in lane 2 northbound on the A14 just before the A1 junction. Debris from pothole also in lane.

On 9th December my car tyre was damaged and my car undriveable and had to wait over 4 hours for recovery service. My car wheel / tyre was damaged due to a large pothole in lane 2 of A14 (bridge) prior to slip road on to A1M

Why was this not looked at when first reported? My car was damaged wheel is badly buckled and needs replacing this could have been avoided. There were around 20 cars including me on the side of this busy road for hours at around 1610 on the 9th. It was carnage to be honest. God knows how much the repair bills for all vehicles will be. It’s not good enough that people report issues and they don’t get acted upon until it’s too late. If I had been on my motorcycle hitting that pothole god knows what would have happened. The impact on my car was huge I thought I’d crashed! Lucky to get away with the damage I did I have no idea how my suspension survived.

Large / deep pothole right hand side of lane 2, northbound on A14, around crossing of River Great Ouse, before layby on left. Caused my offside rear suspension to snap! Very dangerous! Tues 9-12-25, approx 3:15 pm. Doing approx. 60 mph in small 4 door Smart car. I will be claiming.
