Updates

  • Thank you for reporting this issue to us via FixMyStreet.

Litter clearance is a scheduled maintenance activity on our network, often combined with other works to minimise disruption.

Our highway inspectors also regularly patrol our network and along with customer reports, identify litter hotspots for additional reactive litter picks.

We have an extensive litter strategy where we seek to reduce littering behaviour through communication campaigns and partnerships with local authorities and businesses.

The A64 is a trunk road where responsibility for clearing litter lies with the local authority.

    Kind Regards, National Highways
