Large section of uneven road surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8497984.

Between the roundabout and the caravan sales place, there is a large section of uneven road that is getting worse by the week and with the colder wet weather this is deteoriating the area further. This will be a hazard at night, can cause damage to vehicles but will be very dangerous to motorcyclists.

Recently the dropped manholes covers were renewed so why wasn't this area done?

Its been getting worse for a long while and will only be a matter of time before there's an incident.

  • Thank you for making your report. We’re really sorry for the condition of the road and the concern it’s causing, especially with the risk to vehicles and motorcyclists.

    For safety reasons, we put an emergency closure in place with temporary traffic lights last week. A deep repair is planned for tomorrow night. This work was meant to happen last week but had to be delayed because of poor weather conditions.

    We appreciate your patience while we get this fixed as quickly as possible..
