No cats eyes, reflective lines or road lighting

Reported via mobile in the Cat Eyes/ Reflectors (NH) category anonymously at 21:01, Mon 1 December 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8488754.

This new junction has been open for some time now. Yet the lighting is not connected, there are no cats eyes or reflective lines on both roundabouts to the on/off sliproads.

This makes it very dangerous at night for road users as is already evidenced by the number of armco barriers that have been damaged or replaced already.

Please at least connect the lighting to stop this being an accident blackspot.

I willl follow this up with a foi request in the next few months and approach local mps/press if this does not improve in the next few months.

Updates

  • There have been multiple reports on this junction and the poor visibility for quite a while, yet no action seems to have been taken by national highways to rectify the poor/sub standard workmanship on this new junction
