Pothole on 3rd Lane

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8471981.

Pothole on 3rd Lane by central reservation that could be a problem at speed. Feels more like a raise in a join in the road or similar, but it's against the central reservation on the road in the direction which approaches the tunnel. It's against the curb area almost level with the road that leads off to the Erith 1a Junction.

  • Dear Council/Highways Department, I am writing to urgently report a severe pothole on the route to Work! While driving, our vehicle struck this pothole, 3rd lane, resulting in significant damage to the right tyre and creating a large hole. i nearly lost control of the car and were fortunate that the tyre did not burst completely. This pothole poses a serious risk to motorists and could easily lead to major accidents. We kindly request that you arrange an immediate inspection and repair of this section of the road to prevent further incidents. Additionally, i would like to submit a claim for compensation for the damaged right tyre. Please advise on the process for this claim. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
