Upgrade of surface and extra lane required

The road surface is horrible, loud concrete. There have been no improvements to this part of the motorway for decades, as evident by all the issues reported along this road with potholes, cats eyes, lane markings faded.

The concrete surface needs removing and new modern tarmac laid in its place. This section is also two lanes in both directions with it going to three lanes at either end. As such, it obviously causes a bottleneck. The left lane is filled with slow moving trucks, the right lane seems to be the lane to sit in as a result. Traffic moves slow as a consequence.

Investment needed by highways agency to improve the infrastructure of this section of the M3. Progress updates by the agency should be shown to highlight they are aware of the issues and are proactive in providing improvements for the tax payer.
