Cats eyes broken for miles

Reported via mobile in the Cat Eyes/ Reflectors (NH) category anonymously at 17:51, Tue 25 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8464635.

Nearly all the cat’s eyes in the road have failed and have been like this for a number of years. There is no other lighting available and is a very dark section of the motorway. The colour of the concrete road also makes it hard to see the white lane markings on it. Together, especially in adverse weather, it is difficult to see where the lanes are without these two reference items. Fix all the cats eyes in *both directions* on the motorway (there are 5-10 miles worth of them which have failed). Improve road markings so it is easier for drivers to see where the lanes are, especially in poor visibility conditions and thus make the section of motorway safer.
