Impossible access

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8459428.

Following recent reports of the closure of the footbridge I've tried to access the proposed alternative routes. They are not viable safe alternatives. It is impossible to cross St Marks Road and or Escort Road in a wheelchair or with a pram and the pavements in St Marks Road are instructed with Cars, bins and trees. The additional distance is also prohibitive.
