Signs still not removed on highway verge.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways to report redundant signs on the A1.

    We believe they were used as part of Northumberland County Council works using the National Highways network as a diversion route.

    However, we have contacted the relevant team responsible who will visit the location. Where they identify redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases items are left in place for future use. Some isolated signs may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles.
