Dipped section of road flooded due to rainfal

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 09:23, Wed 19 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8438030.

Flood full of stones & potholes on the exit for the A34, poses a danger to cars coming on & off the A34. Present anytime it rains, but constantly from October - April every year.

Updates

  • The flooding on this road causes disruption to the A34 and you cannot get access. The result of this flooding includes stationary traffic on the duel-carriageway, meaning there is a genuine danger to life. You cannot go down the road and drivers trying to manoeuvre back onto the A34 is so very dangerous.

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
