Enormous pothole westbound lane 2 dangerous

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8437534.

Just after the penultimate lay-by before the M1 junction there is an enormous pothole in westbound lane 2 of the A14. This is very deep and almost invisible in the dark causing significant risk of vehicle damage. Unacceptable road condition.

  • Pothole sill present in lane 2 on 20/11/25. Just after a layby on an unlit section of road. Just prior to a road bridge and power lines crossing over the road.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
