Noise complaint due to midnight work next to residential area!

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 00:29, Tue 18 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8432907.

There are currently workers on A36 Alderbury bypass cutting overgrown hedges and trees and using a wood chipper. There are houses very near this road (postcode SP5 3TE) that can be seen from this road. It's currently 12:20am and they are still using this extremely loud equipment. This has been going on for many days at this point and this is an unacceptable level of noise. There are people who have to be up for work in the morning and they are unable to sleep due to the level of noise. We were not informed of these works and we don't understand why it's done at night when there is a housing estate very close to the road which is impacted. The noise is disturbing sleep and is a nuisance.
