There are multiple defects in the road surface on the bends including potholes heading towards Bath. Due to the location it is not possible to avoid them as the defects and past the first blind bend in the road.

Potholes and road surface defects heading towards bath, as you pass the first lefthand bend in the road. Part of the defect is quite a deep pothole and other parts of the road surface is breaking up.

We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
