Large sign situated on the main A27 Eastbound at the junction of First Avenue North side has been hit by a vehicle.

Reported via mobile in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 13:11, Tue 11 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8404234.

The sign was damaged by a vehicle and one of the supporting poles is leaning. The very large sign has now twisted and come away from the 2nd pole. The metal ties that hold the sign have broken. The whole thing looks unsafe and high winds would cause further damage. My main concern is the two supporting poles straddle the footpath and you have to walk underneath it. This has been reported to highways yesterday as an emergency but it seems to look worse today.
