The 40mph on the A27 West bound by Hayling has been in place for 6 months. It is very dangerous as many people ignore it and no repairs are being carried out at all. Please carry out the repairs or remove the reduced speed signage.

In some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles.
On the A27 in this area, a temporary speed limit has been installed until repairs to a damaged parapet can be completed. The reduction in speed is to avoid any further accidents involving the public or any more damage to the parapet. We’re looking to complete a permanent repair at the earliest opportunity, but unfortunately we don't yet have a date for this.
