Graffiti on overhead signage into North Birmingham- Gravelly Hill and Erdington. Primarily on the two signs large overage signage coming off the expressway into gravelly hill.

Reported via mobile in the Graffiti (NH) category anonymously at 11:54, Sat 8 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8391888.

There is graffiti across almost all of the overhead and smaller signs coming off the expressway into Gravelly Hill.

Primarily the large overhead signs into the north of Birmingham, there are at least two large overhead signs that cover the three lanes that are covered in graffiti- this has been there for months and months with nothing being done with the location being obscured.

This is unsightly and makes the area look run-down, could these be rectified.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about graffiti.

We aim to remove or cover offensive graffiti within 24 hours of our inspection.

Non-offensive graffiti is dealt with under planned cyclical works and therefore can take longer to remove.

We will arrange for our local inspector to look at this on his regular safety inspection of this route and they will arrange a suitable solution.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
