Pedestrian crossing

Reported via mobile in the Crossings that may impact people with a disability (NH) category anonymously at 11:20, Thursday 6 November 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8383948.

On the A69 near the school we have no pedestrian crossing. During drop off and pickup for school we have a lollipop man to help us across the road safely which is becoming increasingly dangerous for him and ourselves crossing the road. The nearest crossing is further up the road but that is no good for anyone needing to get to the school or community centre. We have young, old , disabled people in our village and people are now getting scared to do the activity’s they wish. Also the speed limit needs to be reduced

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

If we are able we will incorporate any improvements into planned activity on our network. We plan this work many months in advance so you may not see changes for a considerable period.

Larger changes to our network are developed often years in advance and our Equality and Diversity teams are involved in evaluating each scheme. Your feedback will be reviewed whenever we propose work in this area.

For some of our planned improvements you can search in your region on the Our Roads section of our website. Where consultation is taking place that opportunity will be found here.

    Kind regards
