Signpost bracket dangerously sticking out onto hard shoulder, hit by 2 Essex Fire appliances

The signpost bracket, believed to be for a disused sign, sticks out into the hard shoulder. It has been hit by 2 separate Essex Fire Service appliances who were using the hard shoulder to respond to an emergency, both incurring damage to their wing mirrors. Exact location not known as crews did not stop, between J28 and J27.
