Very Bad Road Bump Getting Worse
Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 12:18, Wed 29 October 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8352053.
A very bad multiple bump on the A3 southbound near Guildford, close to the industrial area and past Wooden Bridge, is significant road issues affecting our car as we travel to the University of Surrey and back. While there isn't a permanent "road bump" experience a severe, potentially damaging bump in the road surface causing issues to the front suspension. Over the months have to replace links for the front wheels and not going away. Now this area road also sinking down potentially could collapse. It is spreading to the opposite lane of A3 towards London as well. Even at 30 miles / hour cars and vans are violently shaking. Prompt quick repair by resurfacing will provide public safety and preventing accidents deemed to happen inevitably.

A3 from 70 miles/hour to 50 miles/ hour area going from London area on A3 to University of Surrey is the worst ever. Getting worse as we are travelling for the past two years. Now the defects also spreading on A3 from University of Surrey to London direction. Possibilities of ground beneath this area of A3 is sinking? Possibilities of sinkholes may be developing could cause potential deadly accidents in the near future.
